ASSESSMENT OF LOGICAL-MATHEMATICAL AND VISUAL-SPATIAL INTELLIGENCE AMONG PRIMARY SCHOOL PUPILS IN KWARA STATE
Abstract
This study assessed primary school pupil’s multiple intelligence in Kwara State. Logical and verbal intelligence were assessed. The study adopted a descriptive research design. The population of this study comprised of all primary five school pupils in both public primary school and private primary schools in Kwara State. Proportionate Stratified and Simple random sampling techniques were used to select 381 primary school pupils to form the sample size. Two research questions were answered in this study. A self-developed questionnaire titled “Questionnaire on Pupils Logical and Visual Intelligence Level†(QPMIL) was used for data collection. Data collected were analysed using descriptive statistics (frequency count and percentage). Findings revealed that the level of Logical and Visual intelligence among primary school pupils is high. It was therefore recommended that primary school teachers should be provided with training on logical and visual intelligence.
